An incredible weekend that brought together a group of the countries most ambitious individuals to celebrate creativity while participating in a creative hackathon. I was invited to mentor the competing hacking teams through the steps required to take their ideas from conceptualization through presentation to the judging panel. This experience helped me recognize how much I enjoyed helping others realize their potential.

After the teams dedicated almost a day to their hacks it was fulfilling to see that five of the top ten teams selected as Hacking Arts Finalist were teams I mentored.

Even more incredible was that of those five teams four won prizes. Now, I don't want to communicate that hackathons are all about winning. I actually think they are about much more -- the realized ability to create within 18 hours, the forum to connect with peers, and a platform to shine. To all the teams I helped I appreciate your willingness to pivot, to participate, and ask questions. I look forward to the next one.
